Split, Croatia Itinerary Highlights
  • Seven nights in our boutique hotel in the center of Spit. Evening Welcome Reception on the rooftop of our hotel overlooking the city. 
  • Walking, tasting, and history tour of the city; learn the history of the Diocletian’s Palace, built for the Roman emperor in AD 305. 
  • Ferry ride to the island of Šolta to meet local families making olive oil and honey.
  • Visit the medieval Klis Fortress on the outskirts of Split. Lunch in an olive garden and learn the centuries-old Dalmatian custom of cooking peka, meats, and vegetables cooked under a bell-shaped dome over an open fire. 
  • Croatia is known to be the birthplace of the Zinfandel varietal. Visit two family-run wineries for tastings and lunch. 
  • Meet a local chef to shop at the outdoor Green Market and Fish Market, where we’ll choose ingredients for our lunchtime cooking class.
