Emilia Romagna Itinerary Highlights
  • After arriving at our Parma palazzo, meet for an aperitivo then on to our welcome dinner. ​
  • Walking, tasting, history tour of Parma. Head to the vineyards for tastings and lunch in a 15th century castle.
  • Visit a caseficio to see the production stages of Parmigiano Reggiano. We’re off to a salumificio for a factory tour and tastings from prosciutto to salami. 
  • Depart for Bologna with stops along the way for lunch and cheese tastings. Stroll through Modena as we visit this balsamic vinegar production area and learn about the traditional methods to create this liquid delicacy. 
  • In Bologna, The Food Capital of the World, take a walking, tasting, history tour through the piazzas and under the arcades, headed to the local market.
  • In the home of a local chef, we’ll make fresh pasta, then enjoy the meal we’ve created. 
  • Truffle hunt day! Off to the countryside to meet our certified truffle hunter and his furry companion. After gathering our truffles, we’ll enjoy a truffle-infused lunch.
  • Today we’ll head toward the lower Lamone River Valley and experience the city of “olive oil and wine.” Brisghella is a city rich in architecture and food with a history that dates back to the 15th century. 
  • Depart for the seaside and a visit to the village of Ravenna, the city of Mosaics and home to eight UNESCO World Heritage sites. Finish the evening with our farewell dinner.
